In Googling I’ve found that Hugh Jackman was the first choice for the Phantom. Its a shame he was filming Van Helsing at the time—he would have been a much better Phantom, I think. A nd we could have done without Van Helsing—I mean I’ve seen it more than once (wasn’t that great…), but if I had to give it up to have Mr. Jackman as the phantom…I mean really.
